Chris Naughten is a veteran title insurance industry executive with 38 years of experience with commercial and residential title. He has served in multiple capacities over the years holding the positions of agency counsel, commercial counsel, underwriter, business development and sales, and direct operations manager.

It is my honor and privilege to work to support our team of underwriters and closers who have the highest levels of experience in the commercial title industry. Our National Commercial Services group continually exceeds expectations and provides our customers and clients the professional services they expect to receive on the most complicated and sophisticated CRE transactions in the nation.


Chris has been in the real estate and title insurance industry since 1980. He has worked in private law practice and for a number of national title insurance underwriters. Chris is a licensed title agent in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. Other professional affiliations and memberships include: Maryland, Virginia and D.C. Land Title Associations; Advisory Board of ULI Washington; NAREIT and ICSC.

Chris is former adjunct faculty member at the University of Maryland Colvin Institute of Real Estate Development Graduate Program, where he taught courses in CRE transactional due diligence and real estate law; is former Adjunct Faculty member at the Georgetown University School of Continuing Education – Master’s Program in Professional Studies - Real Estate.

He graduated from Loyola University Maryland with B.A, in Philosophy; and a graduate of The Columbus School of Law at Catholic University, Washington D.C.. He is admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals of Maryland; is a member of the Maryland Bar Association; and the Maryland State Bar Association’s Real Property, Planning and Zoning Section and Taxation Section.

Chris was born in Washington, D.C. and lives in Montgomery County, Maryland. He enjoys spending time with his family and likes to exercise, garden, fish, and travel.
