Joanne Leong is responsible for underwriting and closing commercial real estate transactions in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. Her portfolio of real estate transactions includes office, mixed-use, retail and senior living developments. Joanne has worked with both national and local clients who target underdeveloped yet emerging communities, the redevelopment of historic buildings, as well as ongoing and completed projects that include premier hotel and landmark commercial properties. Joanne has also worked on single and multi-site transactions with Fannie Mae and HUD.

Prior to joining Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company in 2006, Joanne worked for an agent of Commonwealth on residential and commercial settlements and condominium conversions in the District of Columbia. She has also worked on reverse 1031 exchanges with Old Republic Exchange Company.

With closing and underwriting real estate transactions, I enjoy the fact that everyone has a common goal and that we are all working towards closing the deal. An important part of each transaction is the relationship that can be formed. Every transaction is a collaboration and I try to always provide consistent service with a high degree of professionalism.

Joanne graduated cum laude from Boston University in 1999 with Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics and received her Juris Doctor from Washington College of Law at American University in 2002. She is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association.
